Wimbledon is the oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament in the world. Held annually in London, England, it showcases the best of grass court tennis and attracts top players from around the globe. Known for its traditions, including the all-white dress code and strawberries and cream, Wimbledon captivates fans with its rich history, intense matches, and the iconic Centre Court, where champions are crowned.

You need

General Drinking Rules

Drink when:

  • The commentator mentions a player’s previous Grand Slam wins.
  • A player argues with the umpire.
  • The camera shows a close-up of a player’s racket or tennis shoes.
  • A player challenges a call and is proven right.
  • A player breaks their opponent’s serve.
  • A match is delayed due to rain.
  • A player commits a double fault.
  • A match goes into a tiebreak.
  • A player wins the match with an ace.

Player-specific Drinking Game Rules

Each player picks a player from the tournament.

  • Give out two sips when your player wins a game.
  • Give out two sips when your player makes a successful challenge.
  • Give out two sips when your player serves an ace.
  • Take a shot when your player displays visible frustration (e.g., racket smash, shouting).
  • Take a shot when your player gets a code violation.
  • Take a shot when your player loses a set.

Wimbledon Extreme Rules:

  • Deuce Drink-Down: When a game goes to deuce, call out “Deuce Drink-Down” and finish your whole drink. If you finish before the game is won, all other players must finish their drinks and take a shot.
  • Ace Race: Bet to finish your drink before the next point starts whenever a player serves an ace. If you succeed, every other player takes a sip. If you fail, you take a shot.
  • Tequila Tiebreak: Each player bets on who will win the Tiebreak. The losers take a shot of Tequila.
