How to Play Mushroom

Mushroom Drinking Game

You’ll need a steady hand for this one, Mushroom is the drinking game equivalent of Jenga, but the forfeit makes it more nerve-racking

Requirements

• A deck of cards
• A glass (Pint glass)
• Two or more players
• Something to drink

Drinking Rules

Firstly make sure everyone has their own drink. Fill a glass with a forfeit drink (this can be done by combining small amounts of everyone else’s drinks) and place it in the middle of all the players.

Place a deck of cards face down in a circle around this glass.

Players take it, in turn, to call a color (red or black), flip over a card, and place it on top of the glass with at least two corners not touching the glass or any other cards (see image below), if they get the card color correct they can nominate another player to drink, if not they drink themselves.

The objective of the game is to not let any of the cards fall whilst it’s your turn, the player that causes the mushroom to collapse gets the reward of the forfeit drink in the middle.

This game can be made much harder by using a smaller glass or even the rim of a bottle, however, if you do run out of cards, the game can continue, but players must take it in turns to remove the cards from the top of the glass.
