About

The John Collins is a part of Collins (drinks) family. It is believed to have been first invented by a headwaiter, named John Collins, who worked at Limmer’s Old House. Limmer’s Old House was a popular hotel and coffee house in Londen.

My name is John Collins, head waiter at Limmer’s,
Corner of Conduit Street, Hanover Square,
My chief occupation is filling brimmers
For all the young gentlemen frequenters there.

You need

  • 4 cl. Bourbon Whiskey
  • The juice of one lemon
  • 1 teaspoon simple syrup
  • Club Soda
  • 1 slice of orange, for garnish
  • Ice

How to make it

  1. Fill the glass with ice.
  2. Pour in the bourbon, lemon juice, and syrup.
  3. Stir the glass, and top up with soda.
  4. Garnish with an orange slice.
